  • Medication Errors 2 hr/ceus
    Medication errors occur in all patient care settings, though to date most of the research has studied inpatient incidents. Many of the strategies that have created a safer inpatient medical system may also provide a safer inpatient medication system in the other settings as well.
  • HIV 3 hr/ceus
    This course was developed to provide understandind of sexually transmitted diseases, the signs and symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases, the care and treatment of these diseases, and how to protect yourself from getting STDs.

  • Ethics And Advance Directives 3hr/ceus
    This course covers the duties, responsibilities and requirements of confidentiality. Also covered are: appropriate and inappropriate disclosures, the difference between a business and a profession, and the goals and expected outcomes of advanced directives.
  • How Important are Ethics? 3 hr/ceus
    This course covers the importance of ethics for health care administrators, with attention to their role in nursing homes. Subjects include phone and computer ethics and the differences in ethics between generations.
  • Residents Rights 2 hr/ceus
    Upon completion of this program participants will be able to understand the caregiver’s role in understanding and implementing the residents rights, will be able to determine what rights a resident has, and how to accommodate these rights.

AFH (Adult Family Home) 8 hrs related to health, safety, welfare, rights and treatment of residents:

  • Residents Rights 2 ceus
    Upon completion of this program participants will be able to understand the caregiver’s role in understanding and implementing the residents rights, will be able to determine what rights a resident has, and how to accommodate these rights.
  • Infection Control & Universal Precautions 3 hr/ceus
    Upon completion of this program participants will be able to understand and describe how an infection happens, what you can do to prevent the spread of germs and infection, proper procedure for hand washing and how to use personal protective equipment.
  • Fire & Safety 3 hr/ceus
    Upon completion of this course participants should be able to maintain proper functioning of fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.
